Hundreds of impurities are reduced by over 99% through the 0.0001-micron TFC membrane layer, including heavy metals (fluoride, calcium, magnesium, lead, colloids, chromium, and nitrates), organic materials, and harmful minerals, including other soluble salts found in water resources.

Membrane Solutions ROULP-3012 serials reverse osmosis membrane for home drinking water treatment or maple syrup filter systems are among the most reliable and consistent elements in the industry. With the industry-standard 12" x 3" size, this high capacity RO element fits most standard 3012 RO housing for the light commercial reverse osmosis water systems. The membrane normally lasts about 2-3 years depending on your source water quality.

8 x RO Membrane Filter. Recommend work pressure is 100 psi when using this product in a Maple Syrup reverse osmosis system. And we suggest heating and maintaining the raw sap at 104°F(40°C) to prevent clog on the membrane while keeping it under 113°F(45°C) to avoid damage to the membrane due to over-high temperature. It is recommended that systems using these elements rinse the elements for 24 hours, prior to first use, to meet NSF/ANSI 58 Standard. The first full tank of permeate must be discarded.

Do not use this initial permeate for drinking water or food preparation. Keep elements moist at all times after initial wetting.

To prevent biological growth during prolonged system shutdowns, it is recommended that membrane elements be immersed in a preservative solution. Rinse out the preservative before use. The membrane shows some resistance to short-term attack by chlorine (hypochlorite). Continuous exposure, however, may damage the membrane and should be avoided.
